German retail real estate advisor iMallinvest has appointed Olaf Ley as its new managing director.
Ley, who was previously mergers and acquisitions director with Hamburg-based developer ECE, also takes up the post of chief investment officer with effect from 1 December.
The company said Ley would be in charge of developing iMallinvest’s international advisory mandates, with an investment focus on Germany and Austria. The company advises foreign institutional investors and family offices investing in core-plus and added value retail locations.
Steffen Hofmann, founder of iMallinvest Europe GmbH, said: ‘I’m delighted to have found an ideal partner in Olaf Ley for the gradual expansion of our growing number of international mandates. His pronounced international industry experience, his professional competence and his polite, yet firm way to conduct complex negotiations will doubtlessly be highly valued by iMallinvest’s business partners.’
