German retail real estate advisor iMallinvest has appointed Klaus Mennickheim as managing partner and announced plans to open a new iMallinvest office in Hamburg.
'We are excited about our achievements to date and experience an extraordinarily high demand for our focused niche market services from our clients,' said iMallinvest's Steffen Hofmann, who founded the company four years ago. 'We find this highly encouraging - especially in disruptive times like these, where our asset class as a whole is facing substantial conceptual challenges.'
To date, alongside its asset management proposition, iMallinvest has advised institutional clients in nine large-scale real estate transactions totalling €1.1bn.
The company said that the appointment of Mennickheim reflected the need to be well-positioned for further growth.
Mennickheim, who joins from Union Investment Real Estate, will have a particular focus on the development of strategic partnerships, and will spearhead the new office opening in Hamburg.
'The important milestone of positioning iMallinvest in the premium segment of independent specialist advisors for institutional investors has been successfully achieved within a short period of time,' said Mennickheim, whose previous experiences include spells at Commerz Real, SEB and Hochtief.
A civil engineer, he holds an international MBA from the NIMBAS Graduate School of Management.
