The first building in Ikea's Russian venture, Khimki Business Park, has been leased out by co-exclusive leasing agent Colliers International Russia. Among the tenants in the Class A office building are Ford Motor Company, DHL, IKEA Property and Renault.
This is the first office project in Russia by the internationally-renowned Swedish company. It will provide five more buildings, giving tenants the opportunity to expand their offices within the 120,000 m2 complex. Two hotels and a conference centre are also planned for the site, which will be landscaped with a lake. The second building of the business park is being constructed now. It will be ready for fitout by the first quarter of 2008.
Khimki Business Park is located on Leningradskoe shosse, one of the main highways in Moscow, a short distance from Sheremetyevo international airport. Mats Nilsson, head of leasing for the Ikea park, said: 'We have now finalised the first phase of Khimki Business Park and have also already signed the first lease contracts for Building 2, and the list of prospective tenants is long.'
