SwedeCenter, a development unit of the Inter Ikea Group, has unveiled plans to build the first ecological business park in Poland. Cushman & Wakefield will be responsible for the commercialisation of the complex.

The Business Garden scheme will combine offices, hotel, conference, retail and service facilities and will be located within 2 km from the Okêcie Airport and 5 km from the centre of Warsaw. It will be constructed on a six-hectare site, only 40% of which will be developed with the rest being destined as green areas.

The complex will provide 90,000 m2 of commercial space to be built in phases. In the first stage of development, SwedeCenter will complete two of the seven planned buildings. The first one will feature a hotel, conference and office building with 14,000 m2 and the second building will consist of 17,300 m2 of offices. The construction of the first phase is scheduled to start in April 2010 with completion due for late 2011.

Designed by architects JSK Architekci, the project will be the first green business park in the country, the company said.
