UK-based InterContinental Hotels has added two hotels in Ireland and Azerbaijan to its portfolio.

The group will take over the former Four Seasons Hotel in Dublin with effect from 1 January 2015, under a franchise agreement with Ballsbridge Hotel, an affiliate of London & Regional Properties.

The 197-bedroom hotel is in the Irish capital’s Ballsbridge district and has extensive meeting and event space, with two ballrooms totalling more than 1,400 m2.

The InterContinental Baku hotel is a new-build 105-bedroom hotel due to open in the capital of Azerbaijan in 2016, under a franchise agreement with AZ-ORS. It represents IHG’s first foray into the Azeri market.

The hotel will be managed by The Ceylan Group, owners and managers of the InterContinental Istanbul.
