ICSC has appointed four international retail experts to its European Advisory Board.
The appointments include Julia Calabrese, McArthurGlen’s CEO; Alison Rehill-Erguven, managing director of international retail asset manager Pradera; David Gorelick, a senior director at luxury retailer Ralph Lauren; and Anthony Khoi, the president of property investment management company Aerium’s Turkish business.
ICSC Europe's Advisory Board chair Alexander Otto said he was delighted to welcome the four 'high-profile, experienced and talented' retail industry experts to the board. The advisory board now has a truly global perspective alongside its extensive European retail real estate knowledge, he added. 'They join an already strong team who give their time and knowledge to drive our industry forward.'
As CEO of leading owner, developer and manager of designer outlet business McArthurGlen, Calabrese is widely acknowledged as one of the top female executives in the property industry. Istanbul-based Rehill-Erguven was previously vice president of International at General Growth Properties in the US. Gorelick of the Ralph Lauren Corporation has been based in London since June 2013. Khoi is also board member and head of Aerium's retail investment in Europe. He previously founded Cenor Group and also had several managerial positions with Simon Ivenho in Turkey, Unibail-Rodamco and GRC in France.
ICSC now has over 7,000 members in Europe, a historic high for the region. ICSC Europe's managing director Mike Morrissey described the new appointees as 'great additions' to ICSC's European Advisory Board which has a 'vital voice at the heart of Europe'. 'Given the importance of retail real estate to economic growth, job creation and urban regeneration in Europe, a strong ICSC European advisory board is essential to guide the industry forward.'
Founded in 1957, ICSC has more than 66,000 members globally in over 100 countries who include shopping centre owners, developers, managers, marketing specialists, investors, retailers and agents, as well as academics and public officials.
