Intermediate Capital Group (ICG) has announced that it is expanding its European private equity real estate investment team with the appointment of Adam Golebiowski as managing director and Luca Lelli as principal.
Both join from the Baupost Group in London where Golebiowski co-headed the European real estate business and Lelli was responsible for sourcing and transactions. Together, they have over 28 years’ experience in European value-add, development, opportunistic and special situation investing, covering all parts of the capital structure and real estate sectors.
Prior to Baupost, Golebiowski led the European real estate business for the Alberta Investment Management Corp. (AIMCo) where he played a key role in growing and diversifying the portfolio on a pan-European level. Prior to that, he held senior investment roles at the Lewis Trust Group and Citi Property Investors. He started his career in mergers and acquisitions at J.P. Morgan.
Lelli’s previous experience prior to Baupost includes roles at Victory Advisors, a real estate private equity firm, and at JP Morgan, in mergers and acquisitions.
‘Building out the opportunistic and value-add equity strategy on a pan-European level is a natural evolution of our business. We are confident in the opportunities that lie ahead,’ said Kevin Cooper, co-head of ICG Real Estate.
