ICG Real Estate, the real estate business of Intermediate Capital Group (ICG), has announced the addition of Antonio Galea to the private equity real estate team.
Based in London, Galea will lead the sourcing and execution of value-add and opportunistic transactions in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. In addition, he brings capital markets, structuring and M&A expertise.
Galea was previously an executive director within JPMorgan’s real estate investment banking group, with a principal focus on real estate M&A and capital markets activity. During his career, he has led over 70 transactions totaling over €100 bn, including M&A, IPOs, and structured financings.
ICG Real Estate currently manages $6.6 bn AUM in real estate equity and debt strategies and invests across the capital structure in both real estate assets and corporate platforms.
The hire follows the recruitment of Adam Golebiowski, Luca Lelli and Cornelius Liebetrau in 2021, who joined to focus on developing ICG’s value-add and opportunistic real estate franchise.
