John van Marle joins the company from JP Morgan, the financial services giant.

In the position of real estate specialist for sales for the past six years, Van Marle was top ranked with institutional shareholders and involved in IPOs such as Vonovia, TLG, Kojamo and Shurgard.

He was also responsible for the distribution of all EMEA listed real estate products to more than 100 institutional accounts, including pension funds, sovereign wealth funds, hedge funds and mutual funds.

‘It is a great pleasure to welcome John to Icamap,’ said Harm Meijer, managing director. The pair worked together previously at JP Morgan.

ICAMAP recently played a role in torpedoing a bid to buy shopping centre operator Atrium by Gazit Globe. The firm and fellow minority shareholder, Letko Brosseau, said the bid significantly undervalued Atrium.
