French property developer Icade said it has launched the development of the Costieres Parc shopping centre in the southern French city of Nimes. The project, which is scheduled to open in early 2012, will offer 28,000 m2 of retail space currently being marketed.
Icade said the project confirms its strategy to focus on the development of shopping centres. The company is currently developing the Odysseum mall in Montpellier, consisting of 45,000 m2 of space which will be delivered in September 2009, and the Milenaire mall in Aubervilliers with 56,000 m2 of retail area due for completion in 2011.
