French property group Icade and Belgian developer Codic have reached an agreement with consulting and engineering group Egis for the leasing of the entire Start office development in Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines near Paris.

The Start scheme, offering 30,000 m2 of office space over eight floors, formerly housed the Malakoff Group headquarters and is currently being redeveloped by Icade and Codic in line with a project designed by architects Valode & Pistre.

Egis will use the asset as its new headquarters in France, under a fixed nine-year lease term. The operation allows Egis - a 75%-subsidiary of Caisse des Depots - to bring together its operations currently spread across four sites. Start is aiming to receive BBC label as well as HQE/BREEAM certification.

Delivery is planned for June 2013.
