German commercial property full-service provider IC Immobilien Gruppe has appointed Marco Helbig as new head of environmental, cocial, and corporate governance (ESG) for Germany.
Helbig's mandate covers pushing forward the integration of ESG criteria into all the decision-making processes throughout the group of companies, both internally and externally.
Helbig has been head of process management technical property management Germany at the firm since 2019, and is an expert for digital data management, according to IC Immobilien Gruppe.
Markus Reinert, the chairman of the board and CEO of IC Immobilien Gruppe, said: 'As a full-service provider for commercial real estate with more than 30 years’ experience on the German real estate market we are conscious of our responsibility and the necessity for the sustainable mind-sets and behaviour which result from environmental and social developments in conjunction with business activities.
'In order to place the necessary focus on this topic internally and externally we have appointed Marco Helbig as the head of ESG Germany.'
Helbig added: 'Ensuring sustainability is a task that has to be addressed by both present and future generations, and it will require constant monitoring and commitment.
