Hudson Advisors expands into Europe

US commercial mortgage servicer and asset manager Hudson Advisors Europe has opened an office at Finsbury Market in London as part of its expansion into Europe. In addition, Standard & Poor's Ratings Services has initiated coverage of Hudson Advisors Europe with an 'average' ranking on the business as a special servicer of UK commercial mortgages.

Hudson Advisors Europe manages, services and adds value to investments acquired by Lone Star Funds. The investments include secured and unsecured debt instruments, real estate-related assets and ‘select corporate opportunities’.

The range of services provided by Hudson Advisors Europe covers the servicing of various debt instruments such as CMBS and CDOs, as well as real estate asset management for a variety of property types across the UK market involving letting, repositioning and sales.

Hudson Advisors Europe said the ranking reflected the company's competencies in a number of crucial operational areas benefiting from complementary skills provided by experienced teams of the well-established German operation. Hudson Advisors Germany, the firm said, has a proven track record in the German market and is ranked as special servicer by Moody’s Investors Service and Fitch Ratings. Both rating agencies have repeatedly confirmed the company's expertise and quality with highest grades amongst its peer group across EMEA and Germany respectively.
