Real estate consultancy Hollis has launched an asset and development management division with an emphasis on innovation and ESG to work with funds and private investors to buy and manage assets.
The new business arm, HollisExos, will be led by Paul Reid, who has over 35 years’ experience in commercial property asset management.
Reid was previously head of asset management at Centurion, overseeing funds on behalf of Scottish Widows Investment Partnership and Aberdeen Asset Management, after which he set up his own consultancy, Exos Asset Management, in 2019. Exos will now be integrated into the new Hollis operation.
Hollis became an employee-owned business in 2021 and operates out of 23 offices throughout the UK, Ireland and mainland Europe. It already works with most of the biggest commercial property owners and funds, providing them with surveying, engineering, project management and ESG consultancy services.
The new asset management operation is designed to add extra benefit to its fund management clients and enhance their own asset management teams. Services offered by HollisExos will involve implementing intensive asset management that utilises the complete spectrum of Hollis services for the benefit of funds and private investors buying and managing commercial assets.
Fundamental to the HollisExos asset management offering is the ability to integrate its innovation and ESG expertise to modernise the management processes. Said Reid: ‘The use of drone, digital, and mapping technology will provide funds with a better understanding of data and an asset’s lifecycle. Likewise, with ESG becoming an ever increasingly important aspect of real estate, the ability to put in place measures to achieve carbon-neutral ambitions is going to become an essential part of future proofing the value of assets.’
HollisExos’ first mandate is the development management of a new logistics warehouse building on the former RAF and USAAF Membury Airfield in Berkshire, England, for occupation by Walker Logistics.
