Recently listed REIT Hispania has bought the Hotel Guadalmina in Marbella for €21.5 mln from its family-group owners.
The beachfront asset covers 22,500 m2, includes a golf course, and was bought with Hispania’s own funds.
‘The Costa del Sol in general and Marbella in particular, is an area that Hispania is committed to and where it plans to continue investing,’ said Hispania board member Concha Osacar.
‘Hispania’s first acquisition is an excellent example of our strategy of investing in high-quality assets where there is a clear value-creation potential through an investment and asset management plan to reposition the asset.'
Hispania is managed by Azora Group, and listed on the Spanish stock exchange in March, with capital of €550 mln.
