Hotel Investment Partners (HIP) has opened its first hotel on Spain's Costa del Sol under the brand Mett, managed by Dubai-based Sunset Hospitality Group (SGH).
The hotel group, owned by funds managed by Blackstone, invested over €27 mln in the transformation and repositioning of the asset.
The Mett Hotel & Beach Resort Marbella-Estepona is located on the beachfront between the towns of Marbella and Estepona.
The five-star lifestyle resort has 253 rooms and suites, including 10% of premium rooms, and some of them have private pools. The main element of the outdoor area is a 52-meter pool.
The materials and furniture of the hotel were chosen inspired by the culture and balance of Mediterranean life.
Amenities include three restaurants (Isola Ristorante, Ammos Greek Restaurant, and the Azure Beach Club) and the Bar de Lola, with local tapas and a wide selection of wines.
The leisure offer is completed with a 500 m2 spa of the Moi brand and the Raise Fitness & Wellness gym.
From an environmental aspect, the resort has 506 photovoltaic panels for self-consumption.
This is the first opening of a Mett hotel in Spain and the second worldwide after the success of the first Mett Hotel & Beach Resort on the Turkish Riviera.
