Hines, the global real estate investor, developer and manager has today announced the appointment of Jan Hein Tiedema as senior managing director and country head for The Netherlands.
Tiedema is an experienced real estate executive with a deep knowledge of the Dutch market. Beginning his career at Jones Lang Lasalle where he worked at the agency team in Amsterdam, he then spent 15 years with real estate developer Edge.

Hines owns or manages more than 735,000 m2 of real estate in The Netherlands on behalf of the firm’s clients and investors, with more than 690,000 m2 in logistics. In July, Hines completed the acquisition of a 20,000 m2 retail warehouse in Venlo, adjacent to its existing investment, Fresh Park Venlo, on behalf of the Hines Global Income Trust, Inc. (HGIT).
Tiedema succeeds Andy Smith in the role, who will continue to work as senior advisor to the business in the Netherlands.
