International real estate firm Hines has appointed Farhaz Miah as director of research for Europe.
As part of the appointment, Miah joins Hines’ global proprietary research group, which provides insights to support investment activity across the firm.
He will work closely with Michael Hudgins, managing director of research for Hines,and alongside Hines’ strategy team, applying the firm’s research to analyse emerging trends and model outcomes.

With experience researching sectors including purpose built student accommodation (PBSA) and logistics, Miah joins Hines from DWS, where he was a vice president in its alternatives research and strategy function.
Prior to this he was a senior research analyst at data analysts Preqin.
