Warburg-Henderson's asset manager HIH Hamburgischer Immobilien Handlung said it is planning investments to the tune of some EUR 700mln in 2008 after booking transactions worth EUR 50mln in the first quarter of the year. The acquisitions were made on behalf of two Wawrburg-Henderson funds.

In January, HIH bought a department store in the centre of Ingolstadt for the VHV Fund. The property comprises 14,435 m2 and is let to Edeka subsidiary Marktkauf. This was followed in February by the EUR 18.2mln acquisition of an office complex in Stuttgart comprising 6,500 m2 which is leased on a long-term basis to the Barmer Ersatzkasse.
