Private equity firm HighBrook Investors and Amsterdam-based property developer REB Projects have acquired a canalside office property in Amsterdam from SP Fund.
The period property located at Herengracht 54 was built in 1615, while the facade was transformed in the 1800s.
Used today as an office, the commercial property comprises some 1,630 m2 of lettable floor area. It is situated in Amsterdam's city centre, within walking distance of the central station and retail quarter, the 9 Straatjes.
The current tenant plans to vacate the property in the fourth quarter of 2021, after which HighBrook and REB will extensively renovate the property prior to leasing it out to new tenants.
The property represents the 10th office asset HighBrook and REB have acquired in the city centre of Amsterdam.
Cushman & Wakefield advised the purchaser together with Loyens & Loeff, Savills Building & Project Consultancy and Hofstede.
