US-based private equity investment firm HIG Capital has appointed David Hunter as a senior adviser for its European real estate business.
With more than 40 years of experience, Hunter set up up his own independent real estate advisory firm in 2005, and was previously managing director of Aberdeen Asset Management’s £6.5 bn property fund business. He was also president of the British Property Federation in 2004.
HIG Capital’s real estate platform targets small/midcap opportunities with a meaningful value-added component.
With offices in London, Madrid, and Milan, HIG has completed 21 transactions across multiple jurisdictions in Europe since the beginning of 2013 including in the U.K., Spain, Italy, the Netherlands, Finland and Portugal.
