Henderson Park, the European real estate investment platform founded last year, has added Stephen Ward, a former vice president in JP Morgan's real estate business, to strengthen its investment and asset management team.

Ward (pictured) has eight years of experience in investment banking focusing on real estate, hotel and homebuilder clients at JP Morgan.

He was most recently a vice president in JP Morgan's US Real Estate, Gaming and Lodging Investment Banking group, and has worked for the firm in both New York and London. While at JP Morgan, Ward advised on over $25 bn (€22.3 bn) of merger & acquisitions transactions and over $30 bn of capital issuance.

Ward is the 9th appointment to the Henderson Park team since December last year.

Weber has over 20 years of real estate experience, including most recently as Head of Europe for Mount Kellett and previously at Goldman Sachs for 14 years, where he was a Partner and Co-Head of its European Special Situations Group.

Henderson Park launched in September 2016 having raised $500 mln from three cornerstone investors, Stone Point Capital, Kuwait Investment Authority and Wafra Investment Advisory Group. 

The firm has subsequently acquired Paris’ largest hotel, Le Méridien Étoile, as well as a 172 unit PRS portfolio in Central London.

Primarily targeting gateway cities, Henderson Park is seeking investments in both assets across a wide of commercial real estate sectors and companies.
