Henderson Park, the London-based private equity real estate firm, has added to its US capital raising capability with the hire of James Deck.

Deck joins from advisory firm Hodes Weill & Associates. Based in New York, he adds to two US-based Henderson Park colleagues already focussed on capital raising activities in the region.

Deck worked for Hodes Weill in the company’s London office having initially joined the company in New York seven years ago.

Prior to that he was a global real estate analyst at Brookfield Asset Management.

Henderson Park does not discuss fundraising initiatives. However, according to a PropertyEU source, the company had raised around €500 mln for a European core-plus opened ended fund by the middle of summer.

PropertyEU first revealed how Henderson Park was planning to launch an open-ended fund in September 2018 with a target of around €1.5 bn.

The company’s inaugural fund, Henderson Park Real Estate Fund I, is closed ended and attracted €1.9 bn by the final close in July 2019 according to an announcement at the time.

Former Goldman Sachs executive, Nick Weber, is the firm’s founder.
