Henderson Global Investors has strengthened its French property business with the appointment of two portfolio managers.

Paul-Eric Perchaud and Julien Chaperon will both be based in Paris, working across Henderson’s French retail portfolio. They will report to Ara Adjennian, Henderson’s retail director in France.

Perchaud has joined as portfolio manager with responsibility for asset management at Henderson’s two latest additions to its French shopping centre portfolio: Grand Quétigny Shopping Gallery in Quétigny, Dijon (Burgundy) and Ile Napoléon in Mulhouse-Illzach (Alsace). He previously worked for Unibail-Rodamco as senior operating manager.

Chaperon has joined as portfolio manager with responsibility for assets within the Herald Fund Portfolio, including Centre Sud in Le Mans and Plein Air in Le Blanc Mesnil. He joins from Klepierre, where he was responsible for the management of over €1 bn in assets including French, Central European and Nordic shopping centres.

HGI's head of property for France Thibault Ancely told PropertyEU earlier this year that the company plans to increase its assets under management in France to over €2 bn in the next three years. The company plans to focus on offices in Paris and shopping centres across the country.
