The deal marks Hemsö’s eleventh nursing home acquisition in Rhine-Main .

'The property is located in central Heusenstamm, close to services and public transport, with excellent connections to Frankfurt am Main,' commented Jens Nagel, Hemsö's head of Germany.

The nursing home contains 40 beds, was constructed in 1977 and was completely remodelled and extended in 2008. In addition to the existing property, there are plans for a new construction of a further 16 single rooms, 30 senior apartments and a daycare unit.

'Through the planned extension, we will gain an attractive nursing home centre for various ages and differing care requirements. We have an excellent cooperation with our partner and tenant AWO-Hessen Süd, which also operates six of our other nursing homes,' Nagel added.

Following completion at the end of 2018, the nursing home will comprise 131 beds, distributed among 101 single rooms and 15 double rooms, as well as 30 senior apartments. The operator is AWO Hessen Süd.
