Heming succeeds Ramon Riera Torroba, who is also the Spanish FIABCI president and was elected last year in December by the general assembly of the world federation in Gent (Belgium). The appointment as president FIABCI Europe took place this year during a digital ceremony.

Heming said: 'During my presidency, the focus is on digitalisation and the structuring of the associated change. It is in these times in particular that we have seen where we have a lot of catching up to do, which must be done as quickly as possible.

'All in all, the corona pandemic poses great challenges for our industry. We can see that we in Germany have coped comparatively well with this period and will continue to do so. This is why it is even more important to network even more strongly at a European level than before and to exchange information within the European chapters.'

Heming has been a FIABCI member for more than 20 years and has been working in the real estate industry for over 25 years. He is the master license partner in Germany, Austria and Switzerland (DACH region) for Fine & Country, one of the largest international providers of residential real estate in the premium segment with 300 branches in 18 countries worldwide.

In addition, he is the owner of Heming-Immobilien, a real estate consulting company with about 15 employees in the Rhine-Main area, which specialises in the sale of residential real estate, investment and commercial properties.

FIABCI was founded in Paris in 1949 and is the global governing body for the real estate professions, covering 1.5 million real estate experts in over 90 national associations and members in 65 countries.
