Swedish property company Hemfosa has acquired two large logistics properties in a SEK 300 mln (EUR 34 mln) sale-and-leaseback transaction with Danish logistics group Skanlog. The properties comprise 65,000 m2 of space and are located in Eskilstuna, 110 km from Stockholm.
Skanlog is leasing the properties back on a long-term rental agreement.
'During the offer period we have seen a great interest in the properties particularly from Swedish and Norwegian investors,' said Torben Nielsen of Colliers International, which advised the seller on the deal. 'The deal is a good example of our efforts in the Nordics to ensure strong local representation in our offices in Denmark, Norway, Sweden and Finland.'
The sale is part of Skanlog's strategy to focus on its core business and to finance growth in the Nordic region.
In December Hemfosa also bought a logistics project at the Port of Gothenburg for SEK 188 mln (EUR 20.5 mln) from NCC Property Development. The project consists of a total 20,000 m2 of floor space, of which offices account for 725 m2 and stores and a terminal for the remainder.
