A partnership of logistics property investor and developer Helios Europe and the Episo fund has let a 25,300-m2 built to suit logistics centre at Direct Link Park Leipzig, to German 3PL Nagel Group.
The transaction follows just weeks after the signing of a 15,000 m2 lease to European logistics specialist Dachser at the Air Link Park project in Berlin.
The purpose-built centre in Leipzig will provide 25,300 m2 of Grade A logistics and office space, and will be used by logistics group Nagel to service its clients in the food logistics sector.
Construction of the project started last week with completion planned for October 2012.
Direct Link Park Leipzig will provide a total of 220,000 m2 of logistics space. It is one of three proposed schemes in the Link Logistics Project launched last month by the opportunistic fund Episo and Helios Europe, with a combined project end value of over EUR 250 mln. The other sites are Air Link park in Berlin and and Inter Link Park Ingolstadt in Bavaria. In total the three schemes will offer 350,000 m2 of space.
