Frankfurt-based lender Helaba has provided €79 mln in financing to Norwegian fund manager Ness, Risan & Partners (NRP) for the acquisition of a logistics portfolio in Finland.

The properties have been sold and leased back by the Finnish postal group Posti.

The portfolio, with a lettable area of 130,000 m2, consists of three postal centres in Tampere, Kuopio and Oulu, a warehouse in Tuusula and a freight terminal in Pirkkala, which has yet to be developed. The properties are fully let to Posti Group on long-term leases and will be managed by the Swedish property management company Wilfast Förvaltning on behalf of NRP.

Helaba launched its business in Northern Europe in 2006. The bank finances office, retail and logistics properties in Sweden, Finland, Denmark and Norway. In Finland, Helaba has arranged financings for stock-listed property companies as well as domestic and international investors. Helaba values the investor-friendly environment and international profile of the Finnish market and looks forward to future opportunities.
