German bank Helaba has provided a €59 mln loan for the Warta office tower in Warsaw.

The loan was provided to Chmielna Inwestycje, a special purpose vehicle of Kulczyk Holding, owned by Polish business magnate Jan Kulczyk.

Helaba is acting as Sole Lender, Arranger and Agent in this transaction.

Built in 2000, Warta Tower is situated in the centre of Warsaw CBD. The Class A office property houses the headquarters of Tuir Warta, one of Poland's largest insurance companies. At a height of 82 metres, the building provides 28,000 m2 of high-quality lettable space over 22 floors.

Kulczyk Real Estate Holding is a real estate development company focused on Poland and Central and Eastern Europe. KREH was established in 2008 and is 100%-owned by Kulczyk Investments. In 2012 KREH established a joint venture with US group Silverstein Properties forming Kulczyk Silverstein Properties (KSP) in order to explore business opportunities in Poland.
