Germany's Landesbank Hessen-Thuringen (Helaba) has appointed Marina Planck as head of underwriting and portfolio management for its real estate business in France.

Planck has over 15 years experience in real estate financing and has previously headed the activities of DG Hyp in France. Her nomination is linked to Helaba's intention to reinforce its presence in the French market.

France is one of Helaba's largest markets where it is currently managing a loan portfolio of approximately EUR 2 bn.

In July, German lenders Helaba, Westimmo and Postbank arranged a club deal loan totalling EUR 140 mln on behalf of MGPA for a mixed office and retail property at Place de Madeleine in the central business district of Paris.
