Pan-European real estate developer HB Reavis has promoted Marcel Sedlák to the role of Germany CEO, and appointed René Popík to its board of directors.
'Both Marcel and Rene are instrumental parts in our operations at HB Reavis,' commented Pavel Trenka, CEO of HB Reavis Group.
'Marcel has successfully been heading the acquisitions team from 2006 to 2010 and his new role to spearhead operations in Germany is vital to our strategy in bringing our real estate know-how to new markets. Rene, on the other hand, has been indispensable to the success of our development plan in Poland which has seen HB Reavis becoming one of the top developers in Warsaw in just six years,' added Trenka. 'Both changes are significant to our company’s leadership, and I strongly believe they will contribute to the growth of HB Reavis as well as to the personal development of key members of senior management.'
Sedlák (pictured left) will be responsible for establishing business opportunities in Germany and will continue to head up HB Reavis’s Turkish operations. In 2010 he joined HB Reavis' board with responsibility for the company’s activities in Poland, Slovakia, Turkey and new markets.
In his new post, Popík (right) will oversee operations in Poland while leading the group’s overall development activities and managing internal knowledge resources.
Popík joined HB Reavis in 2007 and the Polish team in 2012 as head of development and was then appointed to the board of HB Reavis Poland.
