Slovakian real estate development firm HB Reavis said that it has sealed the country's largest office lease agreement so far this year with the letting of 8,500 m2 of Grade A office space in its Apollo Business Centre II in Bratislava.
IBM has agreed to occupy nine floors of the office scheme located in the central business district of the Slovakian capital.
'We are pleased that global technology leader IBM chose our project. In so doing it has joined companies such as Microsoft, Enel, Alcatel, Emerson, Ceské aerolinie, Heineken Slovensko, Henkel, and many others that also appreciate the central position and extraordinary traffic accessibility of the Apollo Business Center II office complex,' said Roman Karabelli of HB Reavis.
The new contract brings the total occupancy rate in the centre to 96%.
The developer invested EUR 130 mln in the construction of Phase II of the Apollo Business Centre, which offers over 80,000 m2 of office space and 1,800 parking spaces. The complex was completed in 2009, following the successfull letting of Phase I. In total, the business centre currently comprises 126,000 m2 of office space, making it one of the largest office schemes in Central Europe.
HB Reavis has been present on the Slovakian real estate market since 1993. Since 2006 it has expanded in a number of Central and Eastern European countries including the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland and, most recently, Croatia.
