Financial details were not disclosed but market sources consulted by PropertyEU put the purchase price at around EUR 41 mln.

Hannover Leasing acquired the building, located in the university district of Essen and comprising some 14,400 m2 of net floor space, for a closed real estate fund. The property has been leased in its entirety to health insurer AOK Rheinland/Hamburg, which will use the building for its regional headquarters and other central units.

The office scheme has been built in line with the criteria of the German Sustainable Building Council and is targeting silver certification.
