Lloyd's underwriter Talbot has signed a lease fro 3,916 m2 on the 7th and 8th floors of Hammerson's office scheme at 60 Threadneedle Street in the City of London.
The term of the lease is 15 years, including a 42 month rent-free period. Construction of 60 Threadneedle Street was completed in January 2009. The building provides nine storeys of office accommodation with flexible floor plates organized around two atria.
Martin Jepson, managing director, London Group, said: '60 Threadneedle Street benefits from one of the best locations in the City of London. This, combined with the high quality of the building, attracted Talbot to move from its traditional EC3 insurance postcode to the financial core of the City. At the time of our interim management statement we announced that 24% of the income at 60 Threadneedle Street was in solicitors' hands. This deal means that income is now secured, and with significant further interest from other occupiers, we are pleased with letting progress on this building.'
CB Richard Ellis and Strutt & Parker advised Hammerson. Chapman Bates advised Talbot.
