Halverton Real Estate Investment Management has entered the Finnish market witht he acquisition of a 3,482 m[sup]2[/sup] renovated office in the port town of Turku for EUR 4.7 mln. This reflects a net initial yield of 9.03%.

Halverton Real Estate Investment Management has entered the Finnish market witht he acquisition of a 3,482 m2 renovated office in the port town of Turku for EUR 4.7 mln. This reflects a net initial yield of 9.03%.

The transaction is the latest move in Halverton' expansion in the Nordic region. The company recently added to its portfolios in Sweden and Denmark. Halverton also plans to open an office in Helsinki.

Earlier this month, Australian based property group GPT took 100% control of Halverton after paying EUR 51 mln to acquire Babcock & Brown's share of their joint venture's 50% interest in Halverton and the remaining 50% from Halverton's management. Babcock & Brown is an Australia bank.
