Haberkorn succeeds the company's founder Mark Inch, until now chairman and CEO, and managing director Robert Waterland. Haberkorn was a senior partner responsible for Europe with private equity group Grove International Partners since its creation in 2005. He started his career with Goldman Sachs and participated in the foundation and development of Soros Real Estate Partners.
In that role, Haberkorn was involved, together with Mark Inch and Robert Waterland, in the 2003 takeover and reorientation of Société de la Tour Eiffel as a French real estate investment trust (SIIC). Haberkorn held a non-executive directorship from 2004 to 2006, a role he assumed again in 2009.
