Property adviser GVA has recruited Chris Gore MRICS from JLL to lead its City of London investment team.

Gore will join GVA as a senior director with a clear mandate to bolster, strengthen and expand the company's existing investment and agency operations.

The appointment marks another move by GVA to expand not just its London market share, but also to bolster its pan-European and global cross-border investment capability.

Drawing upon GVA's newly adopted Anglo-German alliance with Bilfinger Real Estate (RE), one of Gore's primary briefs will be to broaden its capacity to attract foreign cross-border funds into London and the UK. To this end, GVA and Bilfinger RE recently established a cross-border investment team spanning Melbourne, Toronto, Frankfurt and London.

Gore brings over 20 years of City investment experience to his new role and a skills set focused primarily on German investment activity in Central London. In the past six years he has advised a string of German institutions including Allianz, Credit Suisse Asset Management, KanAm, HIH, Hannover Leasing, SEB, AIK and Pramerica, as well establishing working relationships with CommerzReal, AFIAA, Corpus Sireo, GLL, IVG, MEAG and Real IS, among others.

Rob Bould, chief executive of GVA, a Bilfinger company, said: 'We're delighted to welcome Chris into the fold here at GVA. He joins at a hugely exciting time as we look to build on our recent merger and fulfil our ambition to compete at the top table with our largest competitors for the investment markets' most prized mandates. More specifically I look forward to working with Chris to broaden and strengthen our City investment and City and Docklands agency teams to complement our wider UK and overseas offer.'
