GVA has appointed Penny Hacking as European investments director in its capital markets team, where she will work with UK investors active in continental European and other international markets.

Hacking has over 20 years' experience in the commercial real estate industry and has advised on over €3 bn of transactions across continental Europe and the UK.

'Penny is a stand-out figure in European investment, and her appointment is a strong endorsement of both GVA’s existing position in this market as well as our ambition for its growth,' said Gerry Hughes, GVA's chief executive.

'She will not only strengthen our international profile but also improve collaboration with our GVA Worldwide affiliates. We look forward to working with her.'

Hacking joins GVA from Victorios Investment Partners, and was previously a regional director at JLL in the European capital markets team. Prior to JLL, Hacking was partner in the city investment team at King Sturge and led the cross-border investment team.
