UK-based asset manager Pantheon Retail will carry out the retail management of Gruppo Basso's Roncade outlet mall near Treviso, northern Italy, Gruppo Basso announced on Thursday. The shopping mall is being developed by Gruppo Basso's subsidiary Lefim, and is set to become the first retail outlet in Italy's Veneto region. The centre is scheduled to open in 2008 and will have an indoor area of about 95,000 m2, including a hotel to be built by another Gruppo Basso subsidiary. The investment volume of the project was not disclosed.

The project is being designed and developed by Chapman Taylor's architectural studio of London. It will comprise a foodcourt as well as 80 retail shops for the clothing, leathergoods, footwear, fashion accessories and perfume industries. The catchment area of the property is estimated at 1.1 million people within a 30-minute-drive radius.
Gruppo Basso is an Italian construction company founded in 1930. Pantheon entered Italy in 2004 with the opening of its Castel Guelfo outlet in Bologna.
