Spanish construction company Grupo Anfora is retaining international services firm Savills and Spanish agent Simer for the marketing of the final phase of its new industrial park Can Prat near Barcelona. This follows Savills and Simer's successful marketing of phases one and two.

Can Prat comprises a site of 123,500 m2 of land with 176 industrial warehouses ranging from 170 m2 to 10,000 m2. The final phase consists of 34,000 m2 industrial and business space providing opportunities to lease and invest with potential for turn key projects.

José Antonio Otero, head of Savills Industrial Department in Barcelona, said: 'This new promotion offers warehouses to rent and to buy. It is an excellent opportunity for new companies and a safe real estate investment.'

According to Savills' research, strong demand for logistics space has led to new submarkets in Spain. With national growth across this sector at 3.9% per annum, Spain has expanded its distribution market to developments in the provinces surrounding the core cities of Madrid and Barcelona.
