Ireland's Green REIT has appointed Niall O'Buachalla as chief operating officer of Green REIT Property Ventures, the company's investment management unit. He will assume this role on 6 January 2014.
Ireland's Green REIT has appointed Niall O'Buachalla as chief operating officer of Green REIT Property Ventures, the company's investment management unit. He will assume this role on 6 January 2014.
O'Buachalla will be responsible for managing all Green REIT's financial, regulatory and risk functions as well as co-ordinating transactions and debt structuring for the company's asset portfolio.
He has over a decade of experience in the commercial property sector and previously held positions as finance director at Burlington Real Estate, where he was a co-founder, and Treasury Holdings.
At Treasury Holdings, he was involved in capital raising for large-scale commercial property developments and acquisitions in Ireland, the UK and China. Prior to Treasury Holdings, he was a property analyst at Tesco Ireland. O'Buachalla is a fellow of Chartered Accountants Ireland.
Green REIT is listed on the Irish and London Stock Exchanges. The company was the first REIT to be established in Ireland following the introduction of REIT legislation.
The company's strategy is to create a property portfolio consisting primarily of commercial property in Ireland to deliver income and capital growth through opportunistic investments, active property management and prudent use of debt finance.
