After four years of anticipation, the Greek State, assisted by Colliers International, has completed its first privatisation deal to Lamda Development, the most competitive bidder in the tendering process. The deal, which was completed on behalf of the State by the Hellenic Republic Asset Development Fund, will ensure the completion of the northeastern segment of the 14,000 m[sup]2[/sup] International Broadcasting Centre building in Athens.
After four years of anticipation, the Greek State, assisted by Colliers International, has completed its first privatisation deal to Lamda Development, the most competitive bidder in the tendering process. The deal, which was completed on behalf of the State by the Hellenic Republic Asset Development Fund, will ensure the completion of the northeastern segment of the 14,000 m2 International Broadcasting Centre building in Athens.
The building will accommodate the Museum of Olympic Games, a state-of-the-art auditorium and a theatre of approximately 1,500m2, as well as facilities such as a playground, kindergarten and gym, while the remaining space will host commercial establishments, such as cafes, restaurants, retail stores and offices.
Colliers International assisted in the value estimation study, Ana Vukovic, Managing Director of Colliers International said: 'Colliers is proud to have taken part in the first closed privatization deal in the Greek market, acting as a trusted partner of the State. The IBC deal is the first positive news since the beginning of the economic crisis.'
