GPT Halverton has completed the purchase of a 230,000 m[sup]2[/sup] mixed portfolio in the Netherlands for EUR 269 mln. The portfolio comprises 21 office properties (87,000 m2) and 18 industrial complexes (143,000 m2) sold by IEF Capital, a joint venture between Bouwfonds Asset Management and the Inflation Exchange Fund (IEF).

GPT Halverton has completed the purchase of a 230,000 m2 mixed portfolio in the Netherlands for EUR 269 mln. The portfolio comprises 21 office properties (87,000 m2) and 18 industrial complexes (143,000 m2) sold by IEF Capital, a joint venture between Bouwfonds Asset Management and the Inflation Exchange Fund (IEF).

The portfolio is earmarked for the Dutch Active Fund, which will be open to institutional investors from Europe and the US next October, GPT Halverton said. The company will retain a considerable stake in the fund and improve its performance by 'hands on management in the short and medium term.' GPT Halverton´s portfolio in the Netherlands is valued up to EUR 1 bn.

Additionally, GPT Halverton, on behalf of its office fund H2O, has acquired four office buildings from Tasman Properties for EUR 20 mln. The buildings are located in the Dutch city of Amersfoort and the towns of Zwijndrecht, Houten and Alpehn aan de Rijn. The assets provide a total space of 11,816 m2 and are let to a total of 29 tenants.

GPT Halverton, formerly Halverton Real Estate Investment Management, is a fund and asset management company active in the UK, Germany, Netherlands, France, Denmark, Sweden and Finland. Halverton was taken over by the Australia-based GPT Group last July.
