The GPR 250 Europe index ended 22% higher in April 2009, the first positive monthly result of 2009. All countries in the index posted positive returns.

Greece - represented in the index by Babis Vovos - was the best performer, with a return of 133.3%. Norway - represented solely by Norwegian Properties - closed the month at 104.2%, while Austria was up 51%.

The results for the other countries were also positive but more moderate: UK (29.3%), Poland (GTC; 28.7%), Finland (28.5%), Zweden (22.3%), Turkey (Is REIT; 20.6%) Germany (17.6%), France (15.5%), Italy (13.9%), Netherlands (13.1%), Belgium (13.0%) and Switzerland (8.1%). All performances are expressed in euros.
