Listed UK property company Great Portland Estates (GPE) has hired Dan Nicholson as an executive director to oversee its portfolio management and development management activities.
Nicholson most recently spent over 10 years with US developer Tishman Speyer, running its UK business for most of that time.
He previously gained broad property investment, development and asset management experience in a number of organisations, including at City & West End Property Group, Quintain Estates and Development and real estate private equity firm, Three Delta LLP.
Nicholson's appointment is one of a number of board and senior management changes at GPE that also includes the recruitment of Carrie Heiss as HR director. Previously chief HR officer at Olivetree Group, she will also join the GPE executive committee.
In addition, Mark Anderson will join the board as a non-executive director with effect from 1 September 2021 and become a member of the audit, nomination and remuneration committees. He is currently property and international managing director of Whitbread Plc, leading its international businesses and M&A activities. Anderson previously spent 16 years at Sainsbury in a variety of senior positions, finally managing all aspects of its property estate.
