Goodman Property Investors, the investment unit of the real estate group Goodman, said on Thursday that its Eurozone fund of funds has posted a return of 9.6% from the end of last year, and is on its way to meet the targeted 10% return per annum. In 2006, Goodman raised more than EUR 250 mln from investors for its Eurozone fund. The fund aims to raise a total of EUR 300 mln within the 12 to 24 months following its launch in July 2006.

Goodman said that the fund raised EUR 250 mln from 24 investors, mostly pension funds from the UK and continental Europe. Eurozone currently invests in 12 Euro-based funds focused on specific sectors, mainly retail, office and industrial, but it is also active in niche sectors such as carparks.
