Goodman Group is to develop a turnkey distribution centre at Puurs in Belgium for the health and safety expert Vandeputte Group.
The new 18,111 m2 will comprise a warehouse incorporating 12 loading docks and three overhead doors, with a 586 m2 mezzanine floor and 440 m2 of office space. Vandeputte Group will consolidate its current space requirements at the new facility, which caters for further expansion.
The land at Puurs was owned jointly by Goodman Group and Goodman European Logistics Fund (GELF). It is located in the Pullaar II logistics zone in Puurs and is less than 500 metres from the N16 highway that connects eastwards to the A12 motorway serving Brussels and Antwerp.
It also connects westwards to the E17 motorway serving Antwerp and Ghent. Puurs is located 16km from Antwerp, 22km from Brussels and 52km from Ghent and is situated within Belgium’s ‘Golden Triangle’ for logistics.
The development for Vandeputte Group, together with the recently completed Duvel project will result in approximately 40,000 m2 of developments being completed on the site. Goodman Group owns and manages 209,000 m2 of distribution space in Belgium, primarily in the Antwerp-Brussels region.
