Goodman has signed an agreement to purchase 22 hectares of land in the logistics 'hotspot' of Venlo in the Netherlands. In a statement, the integrated industrial real estate group said the plot at Venlo Trade Port Noord will be purchased in three stages from the municipality of the south-eastern Dutch city. An initial nine hectares was acquired at the end of August for the development of a 50,000 m[sup]2[/sup] distribution centre on behalf of logistics service provider DSV Solutions. Goodman said it will purchase a further six hectares in August 2009 and the last seven in August 2011.

Venlo Trade Port Noord is seen as one of the most important logistic centres in the Benelux. Goodman said it has one of the largest logistics portfolios in the region.
