The strong result, combined with a land bank capable of delivering up to 875,000 m2, confirms Goodman's growth ambitions in the Polish market.
'We delivered five built-to-suit projects to customers, with a record total warehouse area of over 100,000 m2, bringing the total portfolio of properties managed by Goodman in Poland to over 245,500 m2,' said B³a¿ej Ciesielczak, regional director Poland. In PropertyEU's annual ranking of top developers in Europe, Goodman emerged thjis year as number one for the first time in the five-year history of this overview. The ranking was based on completed developments between 2009-11. During this period, Goodman completed 1,083,000 m2 across Europe.
Goodman is currently developing two further warehouses for customers in Poland. The 6,500-m2 and 13,500-m2 facilities are both located in Kraków and will be delivered in 2012. Later this year, Goodman also plans to begin construction and commercialisation of its flagship project the Pomeranian Logistics Centre in Gdañsk.
In 2012, Goodman also plans to continue expanding its land bank, with the main acquisition targets being land in Upper Silesia and Poznañ.
'Our planned land bank expansion this year is in direct response to the demand for modern warehouse space that we have observed in virtually all of the key logistics centres in Poland,' added Ciesielczak.
